Triple captains squandered as wildcards misfire badly
Evening all — that was a sobering GW3. Triple Captain chips went in, wildcards were slammed, and most of you got pennies back. Standards dropped all over the league, and a few of you were just rescued by Haaland doing his job.
🏆 Gameweek winners
🥇 Overthinker Rovers: 50 points with a Haaland 3xC for 27 points and a 1,394,289 overall rank climb — that’s proper, chip actually used for gain.
🥈 Al Kohol AFC: 47 points, also on Haaland 3xC, and jumps two places to 4th in the league — still 60 down on last week’s score, but at least the chip wasn’t a shambles.
🥉 Bolešov United FC: 46 points and 10.7 above the average with yet another Haaland 3xC haul — but 20 points left rotting on the bench shows the job wasn’t finished.
Last place – FC Buidosh: 14 points, 21.3 below average and a 2,921,210 overall rank drop — with Bruno Fernandes captain on 4 points, that’s not good enough.
🎩 Captain Fantastic
Captained:
Haaland: 10
Bruno Fernandes: 2
Wirtz: 1
Thiago: 1
Best captaincy call: The Haaland Triple Captain from Overthinker Rovers, Al Kohol AFC, Dfq’s machines and Bolešov United FC delivered 27 points and big green arrows for three of them — when the fixture screams obvious, you just do your job.
Captaincy fail: FC Buidosh and TITLErães went for Bruno Fernandes on 4 captain points while Haaland sat there with 18–27 for everyone else — you can’t defend ignoring the best striker in the game.
📈 Transfer masterclasses
Transfers overview: Most of you made it harder than it needed to be, with extra transfers and even hits producing huge drops like FC Buidosh falling from 94 to 14 and Raichester United from 80 to 22 — that’s a collapse in basic decision-making.
Wildcard: Zlatí chlapci 2002 and Cityzens both hit the wildcard in GW3 and still only landed 38 and 32 points, each worse than last week by over 70 — if you burn the wildcard and go backwards, you’ve bottled it.
Triple Captain: Overthinker Rovers, Al Kohol AFC, Dfq’s machines and Bolešov United FC all slapped the 3xC on Haaland, but only the first three got clear gains over average, while Dfq’s machines somehow finished on 35 and under league average — chip used, opportunity wasted.
Hits: TITLErães and Raichester United paid four-point hits this week on top of season totals of 4 and 8 spent, yet ended on 34 and 22 respectively — if you’re paying to get worse, that’s a shambles.
😴 Bench d'Or
Biggest bench leak: Bolešov United FC left 20 points on the bench while scoring 46 on the pitch — that’s half a team’s worth of returns sat doing nothing, basics ignored.
Other cases: Dfq’s machines dumped 18 points, FC Buidosh 15 and Overthinker Rovers plus CPS Podhradová 10 each — some of you got away with one thanks to rank rises, but the planning isn’t good enough.
⬆️ Rank movement
Biggest green arrow: Overthinker Rovers surged 1,394,289 places overall and climbed to 9th in the league, while Al Kohol AFC and AC Chujheli also banked big overall jumps of 836,988 and 719,874 — fair play, that’s how you respond after a slow start.
Biggest red arrow: FC Buidosh crashed by 2,921,210 in overall rank, with Raichester United and TITLErães also dropping over a million and 972,247 — when your trend is “declining” for three straight GWs, standards have clearly gone missing.
Conclusion: Triple chips, wildcards, hits — none of it saves you if the basics are wrong, so sort your captains, stop gifting points to the bench, and treat every transfer like it matters or we’ll be saying the same thing next week; we move on. Your FPL Roy
